Rebecca Mailloux was personally trained and certified as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist in 1995 by Reinhard Bergel, Ph.D., founder of Health Enhancement Medical Training, Inc., Calistoga, California.
With instructors ranging from exercise physiologist to respiratory therapist, physician assistant to physical therapist, Rebecca possesses an approach which is founded in allopathic medicine. She is a member of the National Lymphedema Network, as well as the Lymphatic Research Foundation. Rebecca provides consultation and outpatient treatment services at Central Coast Lymphedema Therapy.
Rebecca supports Enhancement, Inc., a local non-profit organization. Here on the
Central Coast, Enhancement works to improve the
quality of life for breast cancer survivors. In
conjunction with the Hearst Cancer Resource Center, San Luis Obispo
County Medical Society and the National Lymphedema
Network, Enhancement continues to support patients and
healthcare professionals regarding diagnosis, education and treatment options for lymphedema.
In October 2004, Rebecca presented a patient history at the Sixth Annual International National Lymphedema Network Conference/Patient Clinic in Reno, Nevada. She has instructed the American Cancer Society volunteer outreach training program for the newly diagnosed and has guest lectured at Cuesta College.
In addition to being in successful practice on the Central Coast for 16 years, Rebecca is a valued team member at Western Dermatopathology Services/Central Coast Pathology.
